The government's Cabinet Office supports the UK's Prime Minister to coordinate government objectives. With over a thousand employees (mainly in Whitehall), the department was set up in 1916.

The main aims of the Cabinet Office are to ensure that the Civil Service is able to deliver the government's objectives, as well as coordinate the delivery of governmental operations and policies.

Minister goes back to school for Volunteers´ Week

Phil Hope, Minister for the Third Sector, today volunteered at Winton Primary School in King´s Cross as part of national Volunteers´ Week. The Minister, a former teacher himself, helped to teach maths in an after school scheme which aims to encourage pupils to learn maths by linking the course with football.
