CHILD SUPPORT AGENCY ![]() The CSA (Child Support Agency) is part of the government's Department for Work and Pensions, and was launched by the government in April 1993. The CSA is responsible for the calculation of child maintenance as well as the collection and transfer of child support payments to/from the parents. In December 2006 John Hutton of the Department of Work and Pension announced that the Child Support Agency would be shut down and replaced by the Child Maintenance and Enforcement Commission (CMEC).
