The period includes the UK general election as well as local elections in England and Wales on 6 May 2010. The deadline for parties and accounting units with income or expenditure of more than £250,000 to submit their accounts is 7 July, and the Commission will publish those accounts at the end of July. ![]() Political parties’ latest donations and borrowing figures publishedTen political parties registered in Great Britain reported accepting over £8.8 million in donations between 1 January and 31 March 2011, according to new figures published by the Electoral Commission, the independent party funding watchdog.
