GREATER LONDON AUTHORITY ![]() The Greater London Authority forms strategic citywide government for London. Based in City Hall, the GLA aims to provide strategic direction for the future of London, comprising around 600 staff to help the London Mayor and Assembly in their responsibilities. The Mayor is London's spokesman. He leads the preparation of statutory strategies on transport, spatial development, economic development and the environment.
