Department: Greater London AuthorityPublished: 2010-08-28 17:21:3613 August 2010 East London Assembly Member John Biggs warns: "Mayor Boris Johnson wants to get rid of up to 145 sets of traffic lights and pedestrian crossings from London’s streets. The three pedestrian crossings they propose for the chop in Tower Hamlets are Tredegar Road by Cardigan Road, Marsh Wall/Millharbour and Limeharbour by Cross Harbour Station. Transport for London are consulting with local councils but I think it is important that ordinary Londoners should be aware of the Mayor´s plans and be able to raise their concerns. 360-house-thumb.jpg Yes This government news item was published on the Greater London Authority website on the 28 August 2010.
