The Ministry of Defence (MoD) is responsible for government defence policy, and is also the HQ for the British Armed Forces, including the Royal Navy, Royal Air Force and the British Army.

The principle objective of the Ministry of Defence is to protect and defend the UK and its foreign interests, and it also manages the daily operation of the armed forces, defence procurement and contingency planning for the three forces.
