From 18 th March until 6 th April the Northern Ireland Assembly Roadshow will be visiting nine locations to discuss issues that matter to local people. Hosted by the Speaker of the Northern Ireland Assembly, Mr. William Hay MLA, and featuring a MLA discussion panel hosted by award-winning political journalist Eamonn Mallie, the Roadshow will give local people a chance to get closer to the Assembly and the work that it does. Talking about the events, Mr Hay said, “ As Speaker of the Assembly it is a pleasure and an honour to serve the people of Northern Ireland. I’m very much looking forward to going into the community with the Roadshows and speaking with local people to learn more about their views on the Assembly. “If the Assembly is to serve the people of Northern Ireland we need to hear what the people think. People need to have their say, and they need to know how to engage with the Assembly.
